House Rules
Vista is a private members’ club and wellness residence in Hyde Park, Johannesburg.
It has been created as a place in which members can move, restore, gather and spend time with greater intention. These House Rules exist to protect the privacy, safety and experience of every person who enters Vista.
By applying for, accepting or continuing a Vista membership, members agree to follow these rules and to ensure that their guests do the same.
Our Membership Values
Kindness & Respect
Vista welcomes people of different backgrounds, identities, cultures and perspectives. Every member, guest, practitioner and member of the Vista team must be treated with dignity and respect. Discrimination, harassment, intimidation or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. Members should remain mindful of the effect their words, conduct and personal views may have on others sharing the House.
Considered interaction
Vista is built around ease rather than performance. Members and guests are encouraged to connect naturally, while respecting the privacy, boundaries and personal space of others. No person should feel pressured to engage socially, professionally or personally while at Vista. Unwanted attention, persistent approaches, inappropriate familiarity or behaviour that causes discomfort may result in intervention by the Vista team.
Privacy and discretion
Privacy is fundamental to Vista. Members come to Vista to spend time away from public attention, professional demands and the pressure to be visible. Members and guests must respect the identities, conversations and activities of others. What happens within Vista should be treated with discretion.
Responsible behaviour
Vista is a place to feel at ease, but never at the expense of another person’s safety or comfort. Disruptive, threatening, abusive, intoxicated, inappropriate or unlawful behaviour is not permitted. Members remain responsible for their own conduct and for the conduct of every guest they introduce to Vista.
Speak with us
Vista can only protect the experience of its members when concerns are shared. Should a member or guest experience conduct that feels unsafe, disrespectful or inconsistent with these values, they should speak to the manager on duty or contact the Membership Team as soon as possible. Concerns will be handled with appropriate care, discretion and fairness. 1. The House
